The EMN Ad-hoc Query Mechanism helps to gather the most up-to-date information from EU Member States and Norway on migration and asylum issues. Each Member State can submit a specific query, which is then answered by the other countries. These queries and the responses from Member States are stored in the EMN database, which is accessible to all interested parties. The documents are sorted by specific areas: economic migration, EU law, return, residence and residence permits, etc. The database contains public responses to queries since 2014.
